5th part of the First Rio City Aesthetic Marathon (concept): 1.033 kilometers in 9:20 minutes – completed on Monday, April 11th 2016, in the quarter Leblon (overall map). The guitarist and composer Jean Charnaux (*1987) lives in Rio de Janeiro (more about him).
Why did you choose this part to represent Rio de Janeiro at the First Rio City Aesthetic Marathon?
I grew up here in Leblon, this is the place where I grew up. I love the beach. Here I go into the water, do my exercises, primarily surfing. This is really the place where I grew up. I think that it is a nice place to illustrate Rio de Janeiro a little.
Your favourite art place in Rio?
Espaço Tom Jobim, a music centre where I have seen excellent concerts.
Your favourite shop in Rio?
Void in Leblon or Arpoador, a very popular store.
Your favourite restaurant in Rio – and what should you order there?
Bar do Bacana. They carry a very nice shrimp risotto, feijoada balls and beers from small breweries. It´s just beside my house.
